Applications are now open to highly qualified candidates for the Zawadi African Education Fund Scholarships and Leadership Development Program. The program is for African girls with the aim of creating a pipeline of promising young African women who can become leaders.

The Zawadi Africa Education Fund is an initiative designed to offer scholarships to girls who are academically gifted with disadvantaged backgrounds from Africa to take up higher education within the U.S.A, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa and Kenya.

Zawadi Africa Education Fund Scholarship | DETAILS

Zawadi Africa Education Fund is an initiative to develop leadership skills that offer university scholarships as well as life skills and leadership education to gifted academically but financially poor African girls and women, with the goal to create a pipeline for young African female leaders.

Zawadi Africa was created in the belief that with a top-quality education and the proper character development, young African women can return home enlightened in their own right and with the capabilities necessary to make a huge positive impact on their communities in an area where women traditionally are not given a voice in the growth of their communities.

The Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Zawadi African Education Fund Scholarship and Leadership Development Program, applicants are required to satisfy the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a female student
• You should have an A or an A- on your KCSE examinations.
• The girl who passed her secondary school exam e.g. The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE)
• Academic excellence has been demonstrated (A Simple or A Minus)
• Have you taken on the leadership role(s) at your community or school?
• Are from a financially needy background.
• Must have finished high school not longer than two years prior to applying to Zawadi African.
